There are some people who associate bus travel with the school buses that ferry school children to schools from home and back. But if you come to think of it, there is much more to bus travel and buses than just school buses. For more than a century now, buses have been used widely by commuters as well as long distance travels to traverse the course of cities, towns, countries and even continents. You will still find a wide variety of buses in most parts of the civilized and urban world. This is because buses are a comfortable and relatively inexpensive mode of transport that can easily carry loads of people from one point to the other, over land. There are cases when buses can be ferried across channels on barges (like on the English channel), but that's a whole different story.

When it comes to buses, you can have a wide range of carriages, ranging from London style double-decker buses to luxurious Greyhounds in the US and everything in between. One can have super luxury coaches with air conditioning and temperature control to more basic, run of the mill buses that ply between cities. In Europe, it is also possible to cross the continent using luxury bus coaches which are the delight of so many tourists doing the Greece to England circuit over the Channel Tunnel. One of the unique features that adds to the comfort and luxury of such buses is the presence of cup holders for the benefit of bus travelers.
Passengers in buses do like to consume food and drinks in order to satiate their hunger and quench their thirst. This is understandable given the fact that they have to travel long distances in these buses. Eating or drinking also helps to break their monotony. It is here that a cup holder comes in quite handy as these help bus travelers to hold glasses, cups or even small flasks in place without running the chance of spilling stuff all over the place. Cup holders are thus important enablers of bus tidiness and cleanliness.
It is extremely easy to use modern cup holders that come with the latest Velcro technology that helps to smoothly and simply fasten the cup holder to the bus arm rest or perhaps the back of the seat in front of a passenger. With Velcro, there's no sweat!
If you find that the bus service that you prefer does not have cup holders, you can give them a suggestion to do so. Most progressive bus services would like to enhance the ride experience of their esteemed customers, due to which they may take you up on your feedback and advice.
