Michael Jackson Thriller was the number one selling album of all time and was the sixth album that was put out by Michael Jackson. Epic records released this album in November of nineteen eighty two. Thriller followed another famous album Off the wall which was released in nineteen seventy nine.
This song has become even more popular since Jackson's death in two thousand nine. Thriller is the sixth album that was released by Michael Jackson. And it quickly became my favorite the first time I ever heard it. I also love to watch the music video because it is a very interesting dance that Jackson and his crew do in it.
Thriller made Jackson one of the most famous people in the twentieth century and this allowed him to break some barriers of racial people. Some of the reasons he was able to break the racial barrier that people held was because of his meeting with Ronald Regan at the White house. This album and song was one of the first to make famous the Use of Music videos to promote songs.
In the rolling stone magazine which was put out in two thousand and three, Thriller was ranked number twenty out of the five hundred greatest albums of all time. Thriller was number three out of two hundred by the National Association of Recording Merchandisers.
With a budget of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars to work with, this album was recorded between April and November of nineteen eighty two. Thriller was recorded at West-lake recording studios in Los Angeles California. With the help of Quincy Jones, Micheal Jackson wrote four out of nine songs that were on the Thriller album. And seven of the nine songs were also released as singles before the actual album came out.
Between Jackson's release of off the wall and Thriller he was going through many problems with his family. Jackson's father began an affair with a woman that was twenty years his youth in nineteen seventy three, and this in turn resulted in a child. Then in nineteen eighty his father finally told his family about the child. Michael was already mad at his father over the child abuse that he had gone through. After all this Jackson still was able to produce the biggest selling album of all time, which he called "Thriller".
